Frequently asked questions

Before your eye-clinic visit

When should I have a comprehensive eye exam?

Arrange an exam for vision change, recurring pain or redness, and regular screening if you have diabetes or a family history of eye disease.

Should I bring my current glasses?

Yes. Bring glasses, contact lenses, previous prescriptions, reports and any eye drops you use.

Can dilating drops affect driving?

They may cause blurred vision and light sensitivity for several hours, so arrange transport if dilation may be needed.

Which symptoms require urgent assessment?

Sudden vision loss, severe eye pain, eye injury, new flashes or a dark curtain require urgent evaluation.
